Below are sketches of the final four possible designs; I will use the attached poll to determine which get fleshed out into full fledged pins, and then from there we will whittle it down to three choices for stretch goals.
This is purely to allow for the best chance of success with this campaign - these pins will all be large (3” minimum, likely) and thus require a lot more funding per pin. 
On top of that, the ita bag! Because of bag cost, I will be building extra buffer into each goal to account for potential of needing to order more bags than I was originally quoted for, and it is unlikely we will overfund so much that all 7 designs will be unlockable (for now…👀)

Regarding EU based backers - I have made the decision to work with an EU-based company so I can allow for EU backers this campaign! I have hesitated to do so in the past, as I haven’t previously gotten many pledges/orders from the EU, and the cost of the service vs what I might make from folks im the EU buying from me just wasn’t worth it. 
I’d like to give that a try this time around - I will make sure that ,y entire audience gets this info next week once I send out my final big update, but if you or anyone you know lives in the EU and might be interested in this campaign - please share with them! I’d love to hit 200 followers by launch day, and y’all’s help could be the thing that gets us there 💖

I wanted to have more designs ready to show you all by this point, but I have been HAMMERED with deadlines left and right, so I didn't get quite as much done as planned. As a result, there will be today's update, and one more next week with hopefully the final draft of most pins, some more sketches,, along with a photo of the final bag sample. I DO have a mock up photo to show you all - that'll be at the end of the update!

First up - the currently fleshed out large pin designs - Oort Cloud; Wolf Rayet star WR-140; Hoag's Object!

These three pins will measure in the 3"-3.5" range, if chosen, and will feature a variety of fun effects. More details for my plans are in the details of each pin photo!

Here are a few sketches for other ideas - I'm not very happy with the pulsar one, and so will likely be reworking it (the pin just feels very boring/not dynamic enough, though I'm liking the general concept, and so I'll probably have an update next week). Others that I have on deck for sketching are - Algol (a binary star system in the Perseus constellation), and potentially a Quasar (part of why I want to do this one is because a character from one of my favorite book series' is named Quasar, tbh lmao). 

I also would like to try to illustrate a rogue planet & Pan (one of Jupiter's moons) but I haven't been able to pin down a sketch I'm super happy with yet. We'll see! I'm capping large pins for this campaign to 4 at ABSOLUTE most since those are going to be expensive, complicated (and expensive) to produce, and also be sets of 2 with the accompanying mini pins (which I will reveal next week).

I hope to have a poll or two up to determine popularity of the currently designed large pins this weekend!

Up next are some mini pin sets!! The three sets below were designed by some of my friends - either with me doing the art based on their direction/description of what they wanted done, or them doing the art themselves! Each pin will be .75" on its longest dimension. I'm hoping to have at least 10 sets available designed by others, and 5 (possibly 10) more basic ones designed by me! These pins will not be available individually but sets are priced at a discount to pins of a similar size & complexity at $20 each :) (These would be $12 if offered separately)

Next update will feature even more guest-artist pin designs, as well as the colorways & designs I plan to offer up of my own making.

 

There aren't any updates to the carabiner designs yet - I plan to offer 3 colorways of the stars (poll to vote on choices coming soon!), and potentially 2 for the planet. I am hoping I can come up with 1, maybe 2 more designs to add to stretch goals. 

And here is the initial structural mock-up of the ita bag! These colors ARE NOT FINAL, and are just so the manufacturer can verify the structure of the bag is correct.

While I initially hoped to do 2 d rings, the manu that made this bag let me know that that is likely to be more difficult than its worth (for them), and so I okayed a single D ring. Once I have the other manu's mock up, I'll be able to see how it looks. I should be able to have final notes & info for you all in the next week, though I'm trying not to push them too much to rush, so I can get a fair look at their quality of work. 

Some tweaks will be made, but overall everything is looking great!!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing holiday and new years' <3

I come to you with this update because I need your help and opinions on stretch goal unlock order for this campaign! While I wrap up some sketches, some final designs, and wait on some photos of the ita bag samples from my manufacturers to send you, I figured I would put a poll up to get everyone's thoughts on unlock order!

Each large pin will have an accompanying mini(ish. Some might be 1.25") pin of the celestial body it's based off of. I'd like to offer several colorways of each carabiner to offset some of the costs (I'm able to split the MOQ between multiple colors for both manufacturers I've communicated with; this allows me to offer more designs to choose from without necessarily increasing overall costs). And, I'm having a lot of fun asking friends & family to design their own planet & star mini pins, so there may be as many as 20 pin sets to choose from!

I've attached a poll to this update with some options for stretch goal unlock order; I know this is a little hard to answer without definitive designs available to look at, but I will have a compilation of what I've got finished already available for you early next week, so you're welcome to change your answer at that point! 

My next update will feature at least two large pin designs and their accompanying mini pin partner; a whole host of planet & star mini pins; additional carabiner colorways and potentially a 3rd unlockable design; and some (if not all) of the potential freebies y'all can unlock by following pre-launch, pledging in the first 48 hours, pledging to 5 or more pins, backing 3 or more banner projects, or being a repeat backer (that's a LOT of freebies, y'all!!!!), as well as some sketches of additional large pin design options - which I will open you all up to vote for your favorites!
